Druid Character - Lighting & Integration Study

I decided to skip the modeling part and spend all my time on lookdev and lighting. The goal was to integrate a 3D asset into a 2D environment using Maya and get the mood just right.

I spent most of my time on the composition and light behavior in Maya, I especially enjoyed adding the extra details at the end, like the glow from the staff and the light hitting the character from the book.

It's amazing how much a little post-processing can change the whole vibe.
